PACsecure / HACCP
Layfield Packaging's Preventative Actions

PACsecure was originally developed for the Canadian packaging and converting sector for products that may have direct or incidental contact with food and beverage products. There are rules and guidelines for packaging and converting companies to follow which are strictly compliant with Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point regulations. The rules and guidelines involve a systematic approach that addresses biological, chemical, and physical hazards through preventative action rather than finished product inspection. PACsecure is recognized by the Food and Agriculture Organization and the World Health Organization.
At Layfield, we have an uncompromising commitment to provide our customers with products that are safe for packaging food and other durables. We also follow the highest level of ethical standards throughout our manufacturing process. PACsecure is a direct acknowledgement that backs up our statements of incomparable standards.
We believe that quality and safety during the manufacturing process means two things:
- Delivering products and services that exceed our customers’ expectations, on time, with no defects.
- Continuously improving and upgrading our quality control and safety programs to benefit you as our customer.
Quality is what you want, so that is what we give you. It has been Layfield’s dedication to quality that has allowed several third-party organizations to put their stamp of certification on our products. PACsecure/HACCP performed multiple audits of our plant to be sure we were eligible to receive their certification, and on February 10, 2010, the PAC President & CEO James Downham announced that Layfield had indeed passed their stringent audits.
